Bill Purdy began his Real Estate career in 1988 with Century 21. In 1989, he was awarded the Centurion Award, their highest recognition. In 1991, he joined Sun Harbor and was admitted as an exclusive member of the President’s Circle for outstanding performance. In 1993, Coldwell Banker acquired Sun Harbor, and within two months, Bill was given the title of Assistant Manager of the Carlsbad Coldwell Banker office. Bill is very intuitive and has an amazing knack for matching people to properties. Bill’s energy, his marketing expertise, his sharp negotiating skills, and his ability to change with the times has kept the Purdys on the leading edge of the Real Estate Market.

Margie Purdy graduated from San Diego State with a degree in Psychology. She received her Real Estate license in 1984 and has consistently been a Top Producer since 1985. She continued her education and received her Broker license in 1989. She has received numerous awards for outstanding performance over the years and has been in the prestigious President’s Club and the Elite Platinum Club since 1989. Margie is very perceptive and she genuinely cares about getting her Buyers and Sellers where they want to go.

Bill & Margie are also Corporate Relocation Specialists. This generates many highly qualified buyers who are being transferred by their company to San Diego County. Bill & Margie have owned and operated their own property management company, Property Management Professionals, since 1992. Their extensive knowledge in this field has been a tremendous asset to their Real Estate business and to their clients.

With 42 combined years of experience selling Real Estate, Bill & Margie opened up “Purdy Homes.” They found that all of their business came from repeat clients and referrals. After living, working, and being actively involved in the community and advertising for so many years, they had a strong local brand name. As they already had an independent and fully functional office, opening Purdy Homes seemed the natural progression. It allowed them the freedom to make decisions that would better serve their clients and they felt their marketing dollars would be better spent on their clients rather than supporting a national franchise.

The Purdys have resided in Carlsbad since 1978. They have 2 boys, Billy and Jack, that graduated Carlsbad High School.Their boys have gone thru the Carlsbad school system beginning with the Krugar House Preschool!
Bill & Margie love living in Carlsbad and can tell you all you want to know about their community. . . from the library, the swim complex, the excellent schools, the parks, the beaches, the concerts, downtown, road maintenance, you name it! They were named Top Agents at Coldwell Banker Carlsbad in Sales and Number of Closed Transactions in 1993. In 1997 they were the Top Selling Agents in the Carlsbad Coldwell Banker office. They were also the Top Buyer Controlled Agents of the Year for all of San Diego County Coldwell Bankers. In 1999 they were the Top Agents for RE/MAX By the Sea in Carlsbad. In the year 2000, Bill & Margie opened their own brokerage, Purdy Homes. Best of all, for many years, they have sold more properties in Carlsbad than any other agent in the business. They are most proud of this accomplishment.

Carole DeJonge is our Leasing Agent & Buyer's Agent. She lives in Carlsbad with her husband and 2 young sons Currin and Blake. Carole holds a bachelor’s degree in Art History and History from UCLA and enjoyed a successful career as the Executive Director of Special Events with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios before joining the Purdy Homes Team. Her skills for organization and efficiency, her eye for detail, and her “can-do” attitude make her a joy and a pleasure to work with. Carole loves living in Carlsbad with her family and enjoying all the wonderful things this area has to offer.

Tommy Cortez is our Marketing Associate and Office Tech. Tommy maintains our website and assists in the production of our Marketing Flyers and Advertisements. He is originally from Santa Barbara, but relocated to lovely Carlsbad over three years ago. He currently attends Palomar College majoring in Fire Technology. Besides his passion to become a Fireman, he also is interested in pursuing a career in Real Estate. Tommy is an honest, bright, hard-working young man who enjoys helping people. Purdy Homes Realty is lucky to have him as part of the team.

Deborah Gascon is our Office Manager/Real Estate and Property Management Executive Assistant. Deborah and her family have lived here in Carlsbad for over 8 years and enjoy all that the community has to offer. After graduating from San Diego State University with a Marketing Degree she has spent most of her career in different capacities within the Real Estate Industry. When you call our offices most likely the first person you will talk to is Deborah. You'll always be greeted with her cheerful, helpful voice to assist you with your real estate and property management needs.

David Woodward began his Real Estate career in 1976 in Pasadena after graduating from Fuller Seminary with a Masters in Theology and Marriage and Family Counseling. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business, Minor in Economics from Westmont College. He and his family moved to Carlsbad in 1983 and he worked for Sun Harbor Realty. As David worked diligently to meet the growing needs of the community, he was often awarded top producer for his company. Meeting the individual needs of buyers and sellers is very rewarding for David. He is a resource for not only owning property but also for managing rental property. After Sun Harbor was sold, he worked with Prudential California Realty. He now joins Bill and Margie at Purdy Homes Real Estate and looks forward to a renewed relationship as they once again work together to serve the needs of the Carlsbad and North County community.
David and Beverly have been married for 33 years and have two grown children, a son and daughter who both attended Carlsbad School District K-12. David feels privileged to live in an area as special and beautiful as North County is, and is looking forward to being able to help you fulfill the dreams you have today

Cathi Reiser has been selling Real Estate since 1993 focusing on marketing beachfront and coastal properties. Cathi, her husband Chris, and their two boys have lived in Carlsbad since 1987. Every summer since 1994, the Reiser Family volunteer as Cast Members in the Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach! It has been a wonderful family affair! Over the years, Cathi has sold property primarily in North Coast Village, a beachfront gated community adjacent to Oceanside's harbor. Cathi loves selling Real Estate because it gives her an opportunity to help people and make them happy. Her passion for success is tempered only by a high level of integrity ensuring quality service for both Buyers and Sellers.
